AGE OF STUDENTS: entering grades K-4
DESCRIPTION OF CAMP: Take a cultural world tour with art two gifted and enthusiastic art instructors!Fine art mediums will include:acrylic, soft and oil pastel, watercolor, charcoal.Three dimensional works will encourage creativity and thinking outside the box.Each artist will complete two and three dimensional works from inspiration to design to implementation to completed pieces.

AGES: 8 - 14
DESCRIPTION: Two local award winning artists will instruct students in the fine arts. The focus will be on drawing, watercolor, acrylic and water-based oil painting. Students will be learning about different artists throughout history by exploring the dominating stylistic techniques present in their works. Students will be introduced to famous artists such as Howard Pyle, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cezanne and Andy Warhol. Students will learn how to work with line, value, form, light and shadow to achieve good design and composition. They will learn basics of color mixing and brush control. Students will create artwork using direct observation and imagination. Students can expect to take several finished paintings home along with increased knowledge of the fun of drawing and painting!
KID'S SUMMER POTTERY CAMP
INSTRUCTORS: Sarah Halcott & Robert Johnson
DATES: SESSION I: Dates- July 10, 12 17, 19, 24, 26
SESSION II: Dates- July 31, August 2, 7, 9, 14, 16
TIME: 2:00pm- 3:00pm
Cost: $145 ($15 included goes to supplies)
DESCRIPTION: This summer camp teaches a variety of projects including pinch pots, coil pots and also focuses on sculpture and storytelling. Students are encouraged to tell stories that explain their sculptures, where it might live what it would eat etc. We will finish pieces with paint or glaze. Everything should be done/ taken home the last day of class.
WEEK LONG SUMMER SESSION
INSTRUCTOR: Jess Cross Davis
DAY: July 30th-August 3rd
TIME: 10:00 am - 1:00 PM

AGES: Children 6-12
DESCRIPTION: In this week long summer class we will be sculpting, painting, making marbleized paper and drawing. The students will work in polymer clay sculpting animals and work in model magic clay creating pinch pots. They will paint a 16 by 20 inch acrylic painting of an animal or landscape from a photograph they provide and make a color wheel. We will be painting wooden treasure boxes, making marbleized paper origami and will draw a pastel landscape.
WEEK LONG SUMMER SESSION

DAY: August 6th-10th
TIME: 10:00 am - 1:00 PM

AGES: Teens 12-16
DESCRIPTION: In this week long summer class for teens we will be relief printmaking, sculpting, painting and make marbleized paper. The students will work in polymer clay sculpting like life figures and animals. They will paint a 16 by 20 inch acrylic painting of an animal or a portrait from a photograph they provide. We will be making marbleized paper stationary and make an edition of prints. Students can also print on a t-shirt they provide!
